From a young age, MEAU has been writing and creating music. During her studies at the Herman Brood Academy, she released her first EP, Kalmte, in the spring of 2021. Shortly after, she broke through with her single Dat heb jij gedaan, which topped both the Dutch Top 40 and the Flemish UltraTop charts for several weeks. MEAU has collaborated with artists such as Racoon, Pommelien Thijs, and the Metropole Orkest, and performed at major events like Vrienden van Amstel Live in Ahoy. She has also played at renowned festivals like Paaspop, Concert At Sea, Pinkpop, and Pukkelpop (Belgium). In addition, she sold out multiple club tours across the Netherlands and Belgium.
On May 9, 2023, MEAU released her debut album 22, which earned her an Edison Award for ‘Best Dutch-Language Album’. With recent hits like Stukje Van Mij, she continues to reach a wide audience while currently working hard on a new album.
In 2024, MEAU embarked on her own club tour, and in the fall of 2025, she will perform her biggest shows to date: one show at AFAS Live in Amsterdam and one show at Lotto Arena in Antwerp.
